Italy Beauty Haul

Hello guys!
I haven't posted anything for ages recently, I've just been so busy at school with homework and exams and other things. Recently I went on a school trip to Italy for just under a week. We stayed in a tiny little town/village most of the time but on one of the days we took a day trip to Florence. This was really the only place we went to that had any decent shops. Florence looked very similar to somewhere like Cambridge or Covent Garden, just a lot bigger and there was more historic buildings. It was very confusing there, and me and my friend got lost many times looking for certain shops!
Anyway, I really didn't pick up very much, we were there for the whole day but had a tour in the morning, so we only got a few hours to actually shop. The things I did buy, I'm very happy with though.

So, there was a make-up shop we walked past called Kiko. My friend Lucy had heard of it before and said we should go in. It was amazing! It was like mac, but bigger and full of really cheap make-up!
It was like heaven, so I picked up quite a few things. First, I needed a new mascara, as mine is going dry, so I went over to the mascaras and I think most of them were 3 euros 90! I knew I had to get one for that cheap!
This ones called the Ultra Touch. I got this one because I liked the look of the wand.
I've not used this many times yet, so I can't really give it a fair review, but so far, so good!

Next, I picked up a nail polish, this one is a special one called Sugar Mat. These are a copy of OPI liquid sands. They were 4 euros 90, which compared to an OPI, which is around £11, this is so much cheaper! The texture of the two polishes is identical. And I believe the colour I picked up (which doesn't have a name), is very similar to a blue/purple one they do. The only bad thing I can say is that it chips very easily and quickly, so I would recommend putting top coat just at the tips of your nails, as it won't change the colour, and would make the polish last much longer. I'm so annoyed at myself for not buying more of these because they had so many colours!

Next, I picked up 2 new lipsticks. These were both only 3 euros 90 as well! They also don't have names, which really annoys me as they had about 40 different shades! The one on the right is a brightish pink, with a pearl shine, this is a really pretty colour, but I have only worn it once since I bought it. The one on the left is a much lighter, almost neutral pink. This also has a pearly finish, which I think looks really pretty. I love both these lipsticks, the pigmentation is really good, and they were both so cheap!

Next, we went into a department store called Coin, which I'd never hear of before but we went in anyway. There was an essence stand, which I know we can't get in the UK, so I picked up a couple of nail polishes. Again, these don't have names, which really really annoys me!
So, on the left is a really pretty, very pale pink. I would describe this as the colour of strawberry milk. And on the right is a very glittery dark pink/purple. These a both good nail polishes, but I can't really give them a good enough review because I've only swatched them, I've not properly tried them out yet.

Lastly, now this is a funny story. The day we went to Florence, it was extremely humid. It was at least 20 degrees, and the sun wasn't even out. We had one hour left until we had to get on our coach and leave. We thought this would be a good time to go and hunt down the tiny Sephora we knew that they had in Florence. We had a map, which was very confusing, and we knew the street name that Sephora was on. We literally sprinted there and found the Sephora with a good half an hour to spare. It was so tiny in there, we bought our stuff and left. We then got lost on the way back. We had been running round for a good 15 minutes when we had about 5 minutes left to get to our meeting point, otherwise everyone else on the trip would get home later. So we just legged it. Luckily, my map reading skills had improved since Duke Of Edinburgh. Which by the way, we were 5 hours late because we went East instead of West. We got back with a minute to spare, all hot and bothered, but we were back.

Now, I didn't really need anything in Sephora, but I wanted to buy something as a sort of souvenir (don't ask.) So I just picked up this bubble bath, mainly because of the amazing bottle shape. It was massively overpriced for what it was, but, in all honestly, I just wanted to buy something from Sephora. It's strawberry flavoured and smells pretty good, and it will last me a while (I hope!)

So that's is, my mini Italy haul. I hoped you liked it!
Please comment and follow if you like it! It would really mean a lot to me!
I'm going to try and be posting weekly, but I can't promise anything!

Small Beauty Haul

Hello, sorry I haven't posted in a while, I have been really busy lately with school things so I haven't had much chance to post anything! Anyway, over the last month I have been shopping a few times and picked up a few bits. I have been to Westfield Stratford and Lakeside this last month, so I did pick up a few goodies, despite me being absolutely skint most of the time!
Hope you enjoy!
First up, are four OPI minis. I was shopping in TK Maxx with my friend, and we were just looking around the beauty/makeup section, when we came to the sale bit. I saw these, in a Minnie Mouse collection set. Then I saw the price, they were £7!! They were a total bargain and I just had to get them. The colours are, left to right, I'm All Ears, which is a dark raspberry colour, with a slight very fine pink glitter, The Colour of Minnie, which is a red, also with very fine red glitter, If You Moust, You Moust, which is a very pretty light pink colour, and the RapiDry TopCoat. I was so pleased with this purchase, and I have swatched all the colours and they're all so pretty. My favourite thing about them is that the ones with fine glitter in, dry completely smooth! Therefore they are so easy to take off with nail polish remover.

Next, is a Topshop lipstick that I picked up. I was looking in there a while for a light/nude colour. It was very hard to find one because they only seemed to do bright in there. And this wasn't even a small Topshop, it was quite a big one, so I was quite dissapointed with Topshops colour range. However, after a while of swatching lots of different colours, I found this one, it is called Innocent and it is a light pink, but in a way, slightly lilac coloured. It is quite a subtle colour, so I can easily wear it for lots of different occasions. I absolutely love the colour, and have worn it so much already! Like all Topshop lipsticks, this was £8.

Next, is a Barry M Gelly High Shine nail polish. I have been wanting to try these for a while, but I am not too keen on the colour range, and this was one of the only colours I liked. My friend picked this up for me because I couldn't find the colour Prickly Pear anywhere, but luckily she found one whilst shopping. Prickly Pear is a pastel lilac colour, perfect for spring! And despite my love for nail polish, I do not have a colour similar to this at all, I am yet to try this out properly, but I have swatched it and so far it looks like a good polish!

Last, is the Rimmel London Stay Matte powder. I got this in the shade 001 transparent because I wasn't sure what colour to get as at the moment, I am quite pale, but next month I am going to Italy and it's supposedly going to be up to 25 degrees so I might get a tan on my face, and then the powder won't be my colour for a while. I like this powder, it covers shine and leaves a nice finish. Also, it made my skin feel amazingly smooth! The only bad thing I can say about it is that if you do put a little too much on, your skin can look very cakey and powdery, which in my eyes is a bad thing. All in all, so far this is quite a good product, and it was around £4, so very cheap as well!

Anyway, thank you for reading. Please comment, follow my blog, or even get in contact with me phoebesnails@gmail.com. I think I have worked out how to put the follow button on my blog, but if I haven't, please comment and tell me how to do it? Thank You!

Being shy and self conscious:(

Hello, sorry I haven't posted in a while. This post doesn't really have anything to do with beauty, but certain small aspects of it does so I thought I would write a blog post about it.
I, like many people am extremely shy. I have held back from so many good opportunities because of my shyness. Sometimes I really hate it. I get especially shy around new people, or even people I've known for ages, but have rarely spoken too. For example, I'm 14, so I'm still in school, and will be for the next couple of years, I hate having to do any sort of speaking in front of the class, especially if the class has over 20 people in it,which most of mine do. I get extremely nervous, and always go bright red even if I know what I am about to do will be right/good, depending on what I'm doing. I'm not so bad if I have a few people up there with me, but as I'm getting older, for certain GCSE subjects we have to do speeches, for up to 5 minutes, on our own. As anyone else like me could imagine, my worst nightmare. Being this shy could even effect some of my grades!
Also, I'm very self conscious. I've got to a point now that I often feel extremely embarrassed with some aspects of myself. I especially hate non uniform days at school. My family aren't the richest of people, so we have little money to spend on clothes. I often can't wear clothes from shops such as river island or topshop because one clothing item would probably be my whole months allowance gone. Recently at my school we've had three non uniform days in the last month and a bit. You get judged if you wear the same thing twice, I just hate it. Thank god in the uk we wear uniform. I know most American and European schools don't wear a uniform, I would hate school if I went to a non uniform one.
But my personality completely changes when I'm with friends and family, I'm a completely different person. Everybody I'm friends with even say I change. But that's just me, I can't help it. And you know what gets me? When you get a report from your teacher and it says 'Phoebe is a very clever girl, but she is extremely shy and doesn't contribute much to the class.' I HATE it, teachers are basically saying that because you're shy,you aren't doing as well. But that is just MY personality! Yes, I'd love to be able to be confident and answer questions, and be a main part in a play. But I can't, and that's just me!
Recently, I've learnt to accept this, and become more confident with who I am. How dare someone else say if you were louder, you would do better? I can't help with who I am, so deal with it!
However, I am so glad that I chose to take Art and Graphics, I'm in very small classes, mostly with around 10 people, who the majority of them I'm either friends with, or have talked to and got to know them a bit. I'm so much more confident in those classes, and they've helped me get braver over the past six months.
This post was a very deep one, but I just wanted to get my point across, any shy people will understand what I'm saying! Don't be afraid to be shy, it's just who you are and you shouldn't change for anybody.
Thanks for reading, please, if there's anyone who wants some advise, or could even give me some, please comment, or even email me at phoebesnails@gmail.com
Thanks for reading!

Oh, and by the way...

January Beauty Favourites

Hello, I haven't posted in a while, sorry! I was going to do a nail of the day, but I thought that would be a bit boring as I did that last week. I also was going to show you what I bought from TK Maxx a few weeks ago because I got an absolute bargain, but I've decided to do a January favourites!
I have got my laptop working again, I think the picture quality is okay, the lightings a bit dodgy, sorry! I took this quite early in the morning so there isn't much natural light! I don't have a camera, but my phone has a 10 mega pixel camera, so I think it will be okay!

Nail Polishes:
My two favourite nail polishes this month are Butter London's Fiddlesticks. This is a beautiful dark pink/purple glitter colour, I absolutely love it! My next favourite is one by Ciate. I got this a few years ago at my little sisters primary school fete, and it doesn't have a name on it. It looks like a plum colour, but in some lights is a dark brown shimmery colour, it's a really gorgeous colour for winter!

Lip Products:
My two favourite lip products are Topshops Brighton Rock, this is an almost neon pink colour. I bought this with a Topshop voucher I got as a present for Christmas, and I love it! It's a bit out of season because it's freezing cold winter, but I tone it down a bit with a clear lipgloss over the top. My second favourite lip product is Butter London's lipgloss in Fiddlsticks, it's the same shade as the Butter London nail polish as I bought them in a set. It's a beautiful colour and a very pigmented lipgloss.

Hand Products:
My two favourite hand products (that sounds very weird!) are Nivea's Pure and Natural hand cream, this is a rediscovered favourite, as i've had this for a while and not used it, but now I love it! I especially need a good hand cream for the winter and this is perfect! My second product is Bath and Body works PocketBac in Warm Vanilla Sugar. I love these because they clean your hands, but smell nice, rather then the normal anti-bac gels that smell horrible! Unfortunately, they don't sell these in the UK, so I can only pick them up when I go to America, and I'm not going anytime soon, so I will probably run out, but I have a couple to last me for a while!

Others:
My last four things didn't really fit into a category, so I've just put them all together. My first product is the Victoria's Secret Body Mist in Love Spell. On the bottle it describes the scent as cherry blossom and peach. But the reason I bought it was because it smells like one of my favourite drinks, Fanta Fruit Twist! I love it! I bought this right at the end of January, and I've already used loads. It's a mini one because I got it in a Christmas gift set in the sales. I will definitely be repurchasing it!

Second is The Body Shop's peach body butter. I am in love with the smell of this body butter, I love it! I've had it for just over a month and I've nearly finished it all. Definitely another think I will be repurchasing!

Third is Tresemme's salon finish firm hold hairspray. This is a very good hairspray, and really does last all day! This is a mini because I wanted to try it out before I bought the full sized one, and also, I will be repurchasing it when it runs out!

Last, but not least is The Body Shop's tea tree skin cleansing facial wash. This is a very good cleanser, and very cheap! I think it was about £5, and the bottle is big! I just bought this to try it out, and it has made a clear difference with my skin. I've had less breakouts than I normally do, just from using this everyday, I love it!
Anyway, those were my January Beauty Favourites. Please follow my blog, and comment if you liked it!

Nail Of The Day - OPI Come to Poppy

Hello, I haven't posted for a while, sorry! I've been so busy with school and homework overload! Today I've painted my nails in this colour, OPI Come to Poppy. It's a really pretty, bright, slightly metallic pink. I absolutely love the colour, the only thing bad to say about it is that it chipped after about 5 hours, which is probably my fault because I need to buy a top coat. But still, for OPI, which is normally around £11 a bottle, I would expect more. This came in a set that TK Maxx were selling. I love TK Maxx because you can get several nail polishes for much cheaper than normal, I get most of my OPI nail stuff from there!
Thanks for reading!
Phoebe:)
Ps, sorry the picture quality is a bit rubbish, my laptop is awfully slow so I'm using the iPad app, which isn't very good. Because I can't plug my camera into my laptop, I've been getting the photos off Instagram, so they are a bit blurry, but soon I will be able to get my laptop fixed and get some better quality pictures!

Maybelline Nail Polish and Superdrug Nail Art Stickers

Over Christmas and the sales I have received and bought around 20 new nail polishes (oops!) One of my friends got me a couple of Maybelline Forever Strong Pro nail polishes. I've tried one of them because I have so many new ones to get through, they are amazing! I would say they are the same quality as an OPI, and I think they are around £4-£5! The one I have tried is called 'Divine Wine', it is a very deep pink/red colour and is very suitable colour for the winter.
Also on my nails in this picture are the Superdrug Nail Art Stickers, these were a gift from my mum and they're very pretty. They came with butterfly and flower designs, some with little glittery parts as well.
Anyway, just a quick little post about my nails, I'm going to aim to do a post twice a week from now on:)
Please comment and I am trying to work out how to let others follow you (please comment of you could help me?) thank you!

Just a post

Hello again,
Again, I don't think anyone has even looked at this blog yet. But still, I'm just writing a fairly short post about why I have decided to write one. First, makeup is one of my favourite things, so i really wanted to write about it. Second, if you read beauty blogs, or watch beauty YouTube videos, you would have probably heard of Zoella, Sprinkleofglitter and Fleurdeforce. These are my 3 all time favourite beauty YouTubers/bloggers. They have sort of inspired me to start my blog. I would also love to maybe make videos one day, and they started out by writing blogs. I would start making videos, but to be frank I am just really scared that nobody will like them and people would make fun of me. Also, I know a girl who started making them, and everyone is really nice to her face about the videos, but laughs at her behind her back. I would hate that to be me. I'm just a fourteen year old girl who wants to start a beauty blog, so I did.
Anyway, if you've read this please comment, or even follow my blog. I would really appreciate it.
Or, if you would like to get in contact email me- phoebesnails@gmail.com
Thanks for reading!
